Definitely getting pics. I'm 99% I'll pick it up if I can come up with the money. That'll be the kicker. Maybe I can give him a deposit on it.

Re: Streetrod Farm Truck build..."the Diesel"

was just wanting to ask why your going with a 6.5 turbo setup with mech. IP on your 6.2. The Banks Sidewinder kit(they pop up on cragslist cheap from time to time, or you can spend some big money and get a NoS one from Banks) makes more power and torque than a 6.5 turbo on a 6.2
oddly enough, a Banks Turbo equipped otherwise stock 6.2 makes more power and gets better fuel economy than the pre 96 6.5s go figure

I gotta guy coming to look at it Monday. Probably gonna buy it. And I don't have to fix the tranny or the little things. So that's good. I have enough projects already lol

Re: Streetrod Farm Truck build..."the Diesel"

You buy and sell (and then buy back? ) more often than I wash my truck.

Granted, I can't say much, I just have a hard time selling anything after I buy it.

Re: Streetrod Farm Truck build..."the Diesel"

Lol. I'm keeping the crew this time. But then again everything is for sale. If the deal is in my favor 9 times outta 10 I'll take it. I don't really build up a sentimental relationship with vehicles. For me, theyre just there to drive and fix up

Re: Streetrod Farm Truck build..."the Diesel"

I used to only keep a vehicle about 3 or 4 months, heck one year I got a letter from the state saying if I bought and sold as many the next year I'd be forced to get a dealers license.
Then I went to work for Hertz, and got to drive a car home every night as part of my pay. That totally broke me of always wanting a different vehicle. Now, I really enjoy keeping one

Re: Streetrod Farm Truck build..."the Diesel"

It'll definitely help to get rid of one or two projects lol. Besides the trucks, I have the interior business and we're renovating the back half of our house including the kitchen, laundry room, full bathroom, and two bedrooms. So getting rid of or getting some projects done is only going to help my stress level lmao

Re: Streetrod Farm Truck build..."the Diesel"

I think for me I just need to figure out what I want. I am going to try and keep my projects on the '74 small(ish) so I stay interested. There was an LS takeout delivered to my work today, but it wasn't for me. The next one WILL be, though.
