Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

this guy is bad news. tried to burn me several times on ebay. also burned me on other parts but it wasn't much so then again a year later i went and purchased a glove box from him. took a month to get a damn cardboard glove box that don't have no weight. finely got it and it was the wrong one. Contacted him and he cussed me out. said he didn't want to do business with me ever again. and wanted me to pay to ship it back to him. i told him no and then a month later i got the right product. i never did ship the glove box back to him as it was only a $8.00 part and i shouldn't have to pay to ship something back after he had already burnt me of other products.

Is this guy doing business as Lone Star Classic Truck Parts now? I found some parts on the Austin Craigslist and it had this link. Its a shop in Lone Oak, TX. The web page has a different phone number than the one listed in this thread.

Well, well, well...lookey who's back on eBay! "tristartrailers" is his new id. Verified it was him by his trailer listing..."FOR CAR HAULER CALL JAMES 903-268-2439 OR 903-662-5199".

Here are just some of his listings:

250236321315
250237141221
250237143271
250237143837

Looks like everything listed is new (at the moment). Just giving y'all a head's up!

Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

he's been getting flagged to death on dallas.craiglist.org for his truck parts posts. Also, I sent an email about a crossmember (73-87) and he was WAY high on that.

Glad I finally found the truth. James Blanton, eh? I'll see him at a swap meet soon, I'm sure -- though not Pate, going to miss it this year

Kee's out in Terrell should be able to give you a good price on a crossmember. His specialty is 73-87 trucks. He is/was a member here listing in that forum (73-87)

What sort of stuff do you list? 'cause if it looks 'commercial', you'll not be viewed kindly.

I listed a nice DS fender and door off a '71. It was just a basic ad, not commercial looking at all. I put it on there about 4X and it didn't last half a day!

That's strange. You will get a message in your email about 'why', what did it say?

Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

This guy is listing on Austin Craigslist for sure. I saw a SWB frame for $150 and called. I talked to him for a few minutes and he seemed very shady. I couldn't figure out why he was listing a frame in dallas on Austin's craigslist 4 hrs away. Times must be getting tough in Dallas for him. During the conversation he said he builds 5 trucks per year and has one with $3K worth of air ride he is building right now. He said the air ride stuff was all chromed. That is what raised the flag in my head and got me thinking it was the same guy. I am glad I am a member here and didn't get scammed.

Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

I bought several things from him in the past. At first, I got lucky...no problems and good service. Then, it all went downhill from there. No parts for many weeks, unless I called and listened to his long winded "I'm a victim, and people are crazy" excuses.

Recently, I purchased some chrome door strikers on ebay from seller benagail57. I think this is the same person. He sells 67-72 truck parts and trailers However, it looks like he is hiding behind the facade of his wife (or some random lady).

Well, i am tanning his hide to ebay right now, I suggest you all do the same, he is a piece of trash. Ebay is rediculous allowing a user to reappear time and time again. I would think an ISP address could be used to keep someone out, I mean after all he isn't moving changing addy he is just using defferent cities, but his ISP is still the same, coming from the same palce in Lone Oak, right? My GOD why haven't the police in TX done something? I know the local PD have ties with the community sometimes, but I doubt even a down home officer would cover for this POS??? Call the PD in Lone Oak if you have recently been ripped off!!

It seems he has jumped ID's again. My how quickly his new girl ID has dropped from 100% and now his latest ID is no longer a reg. user.

Don't hold me to it, but I think he's back again. I just looked at a chromed ash tray that IMHO looks like sh!@. It has a mesquite, texas location. Any opinions?

Thanks for the heads up!!!
99% sure that is him because the rubber bumper kit looks like the one he had advertised as bengail57. I reported his "mirror" that was actually a chromed ashtray with pits as well. Let them know who he was.
