Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.

A few pics from this month. Got some pinstripes done.

And got a new steering wheel.

Just dropped the truck off at a buddies shop to get some metal stuff made. Door panels kick panels headliner, inner fenders, radiator cover. Look for more updates soon!

Just finished reading your build. Very cool. I think it's cool you bought it from original owner.

I love the metalwork, it is amazing what a bead roller can do in the right hands.

Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.

Thanks guys. Im not doing this metal work, a buddy is doing it at his shop in Huntsville AL. I seen some of his other work and kinda gave him free reign to do what he thougbt looked good, so far im pretty happy. I stoked to get it back. I got it entered into the world of wheel in Birmingham here in a feb. Gotta get it ready.

Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.

Layedout,

I wanted to see if you can elaborate on what you did for the water temp sensor? Maybe you can share some pics too if you have them? Will the original sensor and gauge work if I can find an adapter to plug it into the passenger side head? Thanks in advance!

The gauges I purchased came with a new temp sensor. It screwed into the head where the original is. I dont have the truck right now, its in the shop but i can take a pic once i get it. Ack in a week or so.

Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.

So its a common issue to have the tie rod do that? I thought i had done something wrong. I just used washers to make the diff. I got a new gearbox im going to put on (steering is very loose) and i got the tierods off the truck with it. Figured i would swap it all out then.

Re: You guessed it, 1950 s10 swap.

Ordered me some mobsteel wheels today. Hope to have them in a few weeks. ordered 20x9 for the front, and 20x11 for the back, Thinking about painting them off white/cream color.

Same offset as these just white, not rusted. Hope they fit!
