OUCH!

That hurt!

I had thought about it. I'm moving to Vegas next month and could use the money, plus selling it would make the move easier. BUT I decided not to. She will be tagging along. Probably will take another year or three before I get back to her though.

17x8 with 4.5in backspacing all the way around

front tires: 255/50/17
rear tires: 275/60/17

The tires are a little too wide on the back, so I have a "narrow" axle (1.5" shorter overall) so the outward facing sidewall won't rub on the bedsides.

Oh man, is it just me or is it getting hot in here?

I did wash Ethel the other night... felt I owed it to her to rinse off 5 months worth of dust!

Re: Thrash 2007: Will I drive it to the board meet?

It's sitting in my dad's shop in Tucson now.

I've been out of work since I moved to Vegas (3 months now), and it's getting close to the point of having to sell it. I've been going through the stuff I can and selling it off, but something has to give sooner or later!

Here we were all loaded up just before leaving Ohio:

To get married and live with my wife

She's been teaching out here for a few years and it seemed like the right move at the time. Now, 3 months down the road we wonder what life would be like if she had moved to Ohio!

Hope you don't have to sell your truck, but if so you can always find another one "down the road."

I can tell you what it would be like if she had moved to Ohio. COLD!

Re: Thrash 2007: Will I drive it to the board meet?

I'm starting on my 3rd month as well

Thank God my wife's a vet and all of our crap is paid for. I got laid off, so I get unemployment, but I know how you feel. I've contemplated dropping my silverado from my line up, but I just can't do it. I'm not going to until it's absolutely necessary. Engineering jobs are like hens teeth in my area right now

What kind of work did you do/are you looking for?

Yeah man, it's tough!

Back in Ohio I worked as a contractor at GE aircraft engines proofing their maintenance manuals and the like. I was hoping to find something similar out here with either the commercial airport or Nellis AFB. Nothing has panned out.

At this point I'm applying for anything and everything. I've applied at wal-mart, blockbuster, krispy-kreme, walgreen's, auto zone, office max, etc. The list goes on and on. By the time I reach the end of the week I can't remember all the places I applied!

Best of luck to you in your search, I know it isn't easy!

I know, I'm doing what I can. The wife and I have quite the plan for our finances once we get another source of income. Once our debt is paid off, I'll be able to get back on track with the old truck!

LOL!

Probably not, unless somebody else finishes it! Right now I'm looking to get any job I can, and that will most likely mean not much time off. So I don't think I'll be making it down to work on her much if at all.

The flip side is, I applied to be a Geico Damage Adjuster, and that would require training in Tucson for about 8 weeks. If I get that, I would definitely be wrenching on the truck every night!
