Hey Marc how it going? I had Jeff over at Michigan Exhaust do the pipes. He actually came through with the pipe itself for a pretty good price as well.

Thanks. I agree that usually this style truck doesn't look right chopped, but for some reason mine does.

Not sure yet... I have a stainless fuel cell from before, but I would really like something a little more "stealthy." Unfortunately "stealthy" and "low cost" don't seem to jive. No matter what, it unfortunately has to be mounted in the bed... I'm out of safe places to mount it on the chassis.

I spent most of the weekend (Friday and Saturday) at Pinks All Out, I saw a lot of really nice cars.

Anyway, Sunday I was able to get a little tinkering done. First I finished up the new and still needing improvement upper radiator support bracket. I got a little happy and drilled the mounting holes in it before I test fit the shroud and... well they need to be moved back about 3/16" of an inch so the bracket has enough overhang to let the shroud lay flat on the radiator. I also figured out that the aluminum radiator I had bought had a pretty nasty bend in it from shipping, but was able to straighten it out by strategically placing some blocks of wood on the shop floor and standing on the opposite corners of the radiator. Other than that, things look pretty groovy.

I also got busy on making the brackets that hold the A/C condenser. I think they turned out pretty good, considering Hot Rod Air supplied some glorified plumbers tape to accomplish the same job.

ah.. that bites.. i saw where one guy on here had his blower assembly relocated upward to allow room and retain ac.. I was hoping to find more pics of resources on how this is done.. the under dash ac is cool.. lol. but mine is a low buck project. granted Im gonna do some big things, just wanna do my best to make it stock feeling while layin out lol

Well if your truck has A/C from the factory you're half way there. You won't need to buy a condenser, a drier, or a compressor. You will need new lines, the under-dash unit itself, and the controls. I think the units are about $400 and some change though summit. It doesn't get much more low buck than that.

I got the electric fan mounts made and it seems to fit pretty nice. I used a Jeep Grand Cherokee fan from moparpart.com. I also got the catch can mounted and I'm starting to look at my inner fenders again... I never finished them completely and they still need some "massaging". After I get the inners mounted again I can start checking out where I'm going to put the A/C bulkhead and finally hang the Hot Rod Air "box" inside the cab.

Hey Smashing I see you are working on the A/C I got mine almost done. Good luck on using the bulkhead fitting. I was going to try that but there just wasn't enough space. Also I was sorta in alittle bit of a time crunch. It get ice cold in there now though.

Truck looks great! Reminds me of mine, except better in every way possible. I'm scared to start stripping the my cab, fearful of what I might find with the chopped roof, and my doors are in hideous shape/aligned terribly. The gaps/lines are all over the place over basically the entire body. Seeing yours all lined up though definatly makes me want to get crackin on the bodywork with mine, cant wait to see the final product

Thanks Zman. I plan to get cracking on it again this fall. I had to take a break so I could do some much needed renovations on my house. I had to tear down a chimney that passes through three different roofs, replace a window, and make all the trim. The final outcome is to make it look like it was never there, so I have to reside it as well. My house is 100 years old, which means all dimensional lumber that we are used to now is too small, so I have to buy all oversized pieces and plane and rip it down to the desired size. It's only slightly time consuming. I'm half way there.
