Re: Torchered

What a totally different bumper, tucks in so nice. Cool custom touch, slow work doing that but well worth it.

Re: Torchered

Thanks for the comments guys. I keep looking at the bumper from the side it it looks like it turns down. Not fully happy with it but I do not know how that could be corrected as it naturaly turns down a bit to clear the lower gill section. What do you guys think?

I don't think it is that big of a deal, and especially to others that won't even notice without being told that there is a slight imperfection. But the imperfection only comes from the builder. LOOKS GREAT!!!!!!

I suppose your right. I spoke with the shop he said they had tweeked it after I took the picture and when it get back from being blasted and panels aligned they will revisit it at that time.
'
At this point most items have been addressed. One of the last items is the interior. Going for a leather interior with center console. The shifter will no longer be on the steering colum and now will reside on the floor. A 70 chevelle U shifter was choosen to keep it chevy and a stock look.

Spoke with Brad at Bonspeed mid April about the wheels. He said they were in production and should be shipped in a month.

Thank you. It does take a lot of work. Should have seen my eyes bulge when the bill arrived! Well worth it though.

Re: Torchered

Since the body is in prep mode looking at magazines to find a color has been a pass time between phone calls at the office. There is a green that has been stuck in the back of my mind but everyone tells me with red accents and interior the truck will look like a Christmas tree. I was really intending to cross a hot rod and modern low rider with out involving flat paint. But in the end I think due to friends convincing the blue sprayed earlier will most likely be the color choice. I'm still holding out on one particular color, just waiting on some info headed to me in the post.

Re: Torchered

Body prepp mode was lingo for cab to the blaster. I guess they were in china because that took 2 months. And then a surprise. The roof had a huge dent in it that involved the passenger side window pillar. Although the inside roof seems to be fine. Just my luck. Roof is being re skinned, but now the body guy knows why the gap was off on the passenger door.

Sold the Nova, didn't see the point in having two cars anymore. No time to wax one let alone two. But that was fine she paid for the rest of this little guy.

Due to the car selling this will now be a bench seat truck with the shifter on the column. Exciting stuff. Wish I had something cool to show you like wheels but....

The bumper looks great but I kinda' like the slots in the fender for the side marker lights too.

Re: Torchered

Could this be dragged out any more?

Still have not seen the Bonspeed wheels. Hmmmm I think I should just ask for my money back. Tired of being lied to Everytime I call.

Donor can made its way back from blaster. It's off the rig just waiting to install on torchered. The rear upper cab seam will be smoothed out during install.

Hoping for a driver this year! Crossen everything I have. Ha ha

Re: Torchered

Wow I can't believe you haven't received your wheels yet. I would call up and threaten to cancel if you don't have them in a week or so. My billet specialties only took 4 weeks and my Intros only took 7 weeks and your going on over 8 months which is ridiculous. Can't wait to see some more progress.

Re: Torchered

Wow that is way to long to wait for rims, I waited for 3 months one time and finally cancelled, felt like I had a weird tick everytime I thought about it for 2 months before I cancelled them.

I feel sort of bad. I went with there layaway program and through there relaxed Jamaican speed and my forget full ness it took 13 months to finish paying the invoice. Its been another 12-14 months so i just a little confused as to the issue. I didn't lead them on or lie to them like they have been doing. At this moment I am seriously considering requesting my money back. And since the contract says they get to keep $500 as a deposit I am oh so thrilled. Latest news was that the wheels would ship a week ago Monday. And they'd contact me. Nothing so I called and " I was on vacation they didn't call you? " and so on. Really too bad I have been really looking forward to seeing these wheels on my rig. Think ill start reviewing California small claims.
