Also, can you tell more about the DEI thermal barrier? I checked out their website and while it looks like it functions well, I'm not sure I'd want it showing much in my engine bay. Are you planning to put any on the firewall? If not, are you concerned about heat in that area?
Thanks man. The rattle trap was applied to an extremely clean surface and will be covered by thermal barrier. So the harshness of the environment will be minimal. I agree I don't want that stuff showing, so none on the engine bay side of the firewall. I picked up another thermal barrier material for under the carpet and the interior side of the firewall.

I bet if it had bright red print instead of blue, you wouldn't even have used it under the trans tunnel!

Been taking advantage of the good weather to finish/paint/clean all the engine parts. It's coming back together:

Hi Frizzle,
Great to see that you are back on the Minx.
I wonder if I might ask you a question. It concerns the spare Minx you got as a donor.
What were the door handles and trunk hinges like? Mine are in a dreadful state and will let down the rest of the car once finished. I am happy that they are used, but if in reasonable condition, would you consider selling them? Accounting for postage and all that, how much would you take for them?

Kind regards
Jeff in England

That thing is sweet, one of the most interesting and complex builds on the forum. I watched the video and when I saw you blasting around those wet narrow streets my first thought was I hope he doesn't wreck that beauty, LOL.
