Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Does anybody remember when I had to move the wiper motor over 3.5 inches???
I barely do myself, anyway, I had to shorten one wiper arm linkage and lengthen the other one. I just cut the 3.5 inches out of one and welded that piece into the other one. Let the paint dry and install.

Nice! It sure looks like it should have rolled off the GM factory line back when.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Its hard to got the camera in there and focused, but here's the best I could snap. The passenger side is the closest because on new trucks the engine is offset in the frame to that side to make room for the rack and pinion steering shaft on the driver's side.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

I notice you have a lot of trees around your house have you thought about putting any screening over the cowl area since it seems like it collects a lot of leaves and stuff. I made one out of 1/4" square wire mesh and the cowl panel will hold it down.

We're anticipating the next set of pics. It's cool to see something like this happen in the detail you're showing.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

So since you are near completion are you going to sell the truck like so many other projects out there or are you going to enjoy it with the family?

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Who's more excited about this truck nearing the finish line? you or your family that gets to ride around in such a cool truck? My family outgrew my truck with it being a 2 seater. You had the right idea.

Keep it up.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

99 pages, wow read them all. You have sure done allot the truck is fantastic. Also right on target with what you said you'd build.

Here's to the next 100 (trim, windows, interior, new truck gremlins, etc.). Can't wait to see this build completed.

I also recommend screen under cowl, going back 70 or so pages FRENCH BLUE's suggested this, use Satellite screen. it works well. I pre painted the screen then glued it to the bottom with polyurethane caulk. (Sikaflex 1A)
