Any leads on low-mile 3/4t (2500) late model 4wd Suburban or Yukon?

I'm interested in a late model 4wd 3/4t 2500 Suburban or Yukon with low(ish) miles and want to avoid ebay.

Anyone have one to sell or know of an available example?

Thanks, Pete

Late model?....what year range are you considering?
As well what are some of the must haves?...and some of the 'no ways'?
ie: mileage limits, engine, color, 2wd? or?

Thanks. Something in the model years 2000 - 2013 and ideally with under 70k miles. 4wd is a must but no strong motor or color preference.

GM still makes a 3/4t Suburban but these are only sold to fleet customers. GM told me there's no way I qualify as a fleet customer, I asked

Where do you work? That may qualify you for a fleet vehicle.

Good thought but I'm skeptical that angle would work in my situation.

Here are the eligibility requirements from GM if anyone is interested: https://www.gmfleet.com/business-fle...nrollment.html

Good 3/4 ton Subs are hard to find; folks that have them tend to keep 'em. I looked for 2yrs before found ours. Folks either want too much $ for them or they already have 250k+ miles. But if you don't mind traveling to get something, they are out there - Search Tempest has been a helpful tool in the past https://www.searchtempest.com/

I'm sure you don't want to buy one up there. I'll keep and eye open.

There are not as many Suburbans in Texas as there use to be. I have bought two there in the past. I had no idea 3/4 ton Suburbans were so rare.

Thanks for the suggestions guys - I'll chase a few down. I've looked at these on and off for the last two years and agree with fun in dirt. Here's a nice example but the mileage is kind of high for the asking price: https://albuquerque.craigslist.org/c...655967726.html

Larry this one looks promising - I've asked my brother in Ft Worth if he can eyeball it for me. I don't want to chase one here in WI that's for sure!

Re: Any leads on low-mile 3/4t (2500) late model 4wd Suburban or Yukon?

In 1992 I bought myself a low mileage, big block, 4x4, Suburban out of Ft Worth. I hadn't sold my truck yet, so I parked the burb in the garage at home. My wife drove it a few times and when I sold my truck she said "Why don't you sell my car and get yourself something else." She has been driving Suburbans and Tahoes ever since.

She traded this one off a while back. Escalade Platinum with 62,000 miles and almost new tires. I think they only gave her $12,500 trade in, but they took a ton off the sticker on the new one.

Re: Any leads on low-mile 3/4t (2500) late model 4wd Suburban or Yukon?

In follow-up, I wasn't able to finalize a deal on a 3/4t Suburban so I ordered a 2019 in September of last year. The build was finished the end of November and the burb FINALLY arrived at my dealer yesterday. Now in the garage.

Siren red z71 with cocoa dune interior, luxury package, bucket seat 2nd row, sun roof, engine block heater, roof cross rails, belt line chrome strip, and cargo cover. A big change from my 99 Suburban. Funny thing, the coin holder for the accessory console insert is the same and interchanges - I'll bet that's the only shared part.

Thanks again for the help.

Thanks guys. I hope I’m wrong but hard to imagine this one lasting 20 plus years like my 99 model due to all the electronics/software even if the rust doesn’t kill it. The remote start feature will be helpful though as we are having double digit sub-zero lows.

Yep! It was minus 11 on my outdoor thermometer this morning

I saw guys roofing yesterday when my car indicated it was minus 9.

Nice Burb! you sure as heck checked the 'late model' box with that one

didn't know about the lack of 3/4t burb availability, we still have quite a few of them, all big engine 4x4, etc..

but then we definitely qualify as a 'fleet'.. for instance, we bought 775 of 4 flavors 2012 GMC 2500HD pickups..

one of the 2 assigned to my group pictured next to my 02 GMC

we buy smaller batches of 50-100 various models at least, probably yearly

Good looking Suburban. I think you will love it. Especially the fuel mileage compared to the 99.

If they have flaw, it's that they try to think for you sometimes. The "Lane Departure Warning" takes dome getting used to.
