Pinion seal leaking on my 63 Gmc

Hey all, I recently pressure washed the rear end of my 63 gmc and now the pinion seal is leaking it has the Dana 44 10 bolt rear and I was wondering if anyone knew where I can purchase a new seal and a new nut and whatever else I may need. Thanks for your time.

I replaced only the seal on D44 years ago. I used a little loctite and re-torqued it to spec and have had no problem. I believe I got the seal at local auto parts.

Thanks, you didn’t have to change the nut?

Just the seal. At the time the truck was strictly a farm truck. Auto parts only had the seal and loctite.

I use it occasionally now but not a daily driver. So far have driven around 8-10K miles and no problems. If you can get the nut, that would be best. Your call. Just make sure you torque to specs - IIRC around 160 to 200 lbs. but not positive. Lots of info on the Jeep off road forums on it.
