Gauge cluster recommendation please
Hey guys, does anyone have a gauge cluster recommendation for a 70 c10? It's got a sbc with Weiand intake manifold.. Specifically, I'm looking for a voltage, water temp, and fuel pressure 3 gauge combo. I've seen some decent ones from sunpro but I'm curious if anyone has had good luck with any particular units that weren't troublesome with sending units, installation, etc..
Help is greatly appreciated |

Re: Gauge cluster recommendation please
So you are looking for a trio to fit under the dash??? Not sure what you need/want exactly. I have always had good luck with Autometer gauges for aftermarket. As far as a fuel pressure gauge, you really need to run an isolator with it. This will keep the fuel on the engine compartment side of the firewall and the non flammable liquid on the interior side.
I am sure others will chime in also. I can help you if you are looking for a stock gauge cluster.

Re: Gauge cluster recommendation please
To be honest, I really only want a new water temp gauge for under the dash but figured a single gauge would look weird.. My stock dash temp, pressure, and voltage gauges all work its just I don't 100% trust my water temp gauge and this is the one I'm most concerned with. I had overheating issues on my last vehicle that completely consumed me, so I'm sort of scarred. I want a gauge I can trust so I was looking for an aftermarket recommendation. Figured I'd get a trio for looks. I'll check out auto meter, thanks!

Re: Gauge cluster recommendation please
Buy an autometer electric temp gauge and hook it up. Compare this to the stock gauge then remove the autometer. Chances are the factory gauge is working just fine and will continue to work fine.
