Re: Medium Duty trucks

Just dug out my sales brochure for the GMC 4500-6500 series, same as Chevy C40-60.

Engine options were as follows,

250 ci I6
292 ci I6
283 ci small block V8 (67 only)
327 ci small block V8 (67-68)
350 ci small block V8 (69-up)
366 ci big block V8
427 ci big block V8
305 ci V6 (GMC only)
351 ci V6 (GMC only)
478 ci V6 Toro-Flow Diesel

My '67 Series 10-60 Chassis Service Manual also lists 4-53 and 6V-53 Detroit Diesels, not sure which models they were all available in.

It handles great, worked it through all of the gears, doesn't wander around, brakes good and straight but I know I am going to have to do something. Hopefully just wiper blades (joke).

Are brake shoes, drums, wheel cylinders, wheel bearings available?
Parking brake parts? Is the blower motor/heater core same as the "little" trucks?

Still looking for options on tires. 9R 22.5 on there now.

I would be in a much better mood if I hadn't finally got the locks to work, put my keys in the key drop at the inspection shop and realizes that my cell phone was sitting on the seat inside the truck.
Wow, Im in love, is that a factory truck or a newer truck with an old cab

I know I'm a little late but here are ones for the truck I was talking about earlier. From what I hear this thing hasn't moved in at least 5 years

Re: Medium Duty trucks

I had a C-50 Wrecker that I sold a few years ago. I bought it to haul off 15 school buses and some other junk medium duty trucks a bought for scrap. It was good for pulling up 70 year old Holly bushes too!

I think those are the rims that I was planning on putting on mine since it has those 20" suicide wheels that split in the center (rolling death!). I got some on a big late 70's C-60 U Haul box truck, but I never bought tires for them. The lug pattern, width and offest all matched up, but I never bolted them on my truck. I don't know if they were Accuride. They had several coats of paint on them, and I never looked (or even knew to) for those markings. I just knew they measured out to fit the truck.
