Bumper Guards (?) Factory

Had another question... Did the 1972 Blazer have a bumper guard option? I've seen seveal Blazers with the two bumper or push guards on the front. Is this factory, or an aftermarket item? I think it looks good...so Iwas wondering....

Was it an actual option option, or was it part of another option like custom comfort & appearance package?

I saw a 72 Cheyenne that had them, but nowhere on the options list was bumper guards, etc. Apparently the truck was bone stock, but it did have the Z84 Cheyenne Super Equipment package on the options sticker.

Just wundering......
