Good for you & good for the missus too! You're both on the same page and that's a huge plus.
It's a big step and a big adjustment in your lives but you're not only gonna adapt more quickly than you expected to..... you're gonna love it.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Well it's all good! If they don't turn our paper work down we will be retired come Jan 1,2019. I went and had a talk with our financial advisor today. I gave him all our numbers and told him what we wanted our budget to be. We are set and he doesn't even want our years salary that we are getting. He figured it up and said lets live off the 100,000 next year that we are getting from work then start drawing in 2020 that way my wife will be 59.5 and we want pay the tax penalties. She will be 59 in Jan.2019 I want be 59 until September. Plus that lets our money grow for a year before we start using it.
He even said if we didn't get the year salary we could do it but would start drawing in Jan 2019.

Congrats. I know I never really planned on retiring this year, but with all the stuff in management at work and since I hit 62, I said that is it. I miss many of my coworkers, but not much else. My health is way better too. Congrats again.

Re: 40 years service...

Congrats Andy. Someday I hope to join both of your truck clubs. I never want to leave our place in Myrtle Beach and one day soon I won't. A mountain house in western NC is part of the plan too, God willing.

Re: 40 years service...

What an awesome moment in life. All those years getting up and adulting has finally paid off!

I spent the past 14 years in a company where I was the one making the decisions of where and who to cut (Six Sigma and Lean Management). Now at 50, I'm no longer needed and they are considering ending my position. I was planning to retire in 3-5 years (once house is paid off), so figuring how to survive until then is the nervous part.
