'81 2wd Blazer

Hey. So i thought i'd see what everyone thinks of my blazer.

It has a blown tbi350 out of a police cruiser, 700r4, and 3.08 rear. Its in the process of getting a 454

Already lost the mudflaps, deciding whether or not to lose the chrome.

Hope you like it.

Tim

Blown tbi 350 --- is that blown as in having a supercharger, or blown as in - not moving forward anymore under its own power

I have no idea. My neighbor had them sitting in his garage, and i said id give him $50 for all 4. The front ones are 8-way power (switches on center console). Maybe someone that knows will pop in and confirm.

They aren't Vette seats..... They are too wide. My *guess* and this is only a guess, would be a larger GM car like a late model Buick or Pontiac. Something along the Bonneville line maybe. The seam pattern in the seat suggests Pontiac/ Buick/ Oldsmobile. They certainly look comfortable.

Again- this is only a guess....

Re: '81 2wd Blazer

You got a great deal on those seats. I thought they looked comfortable so I just did a search of the auto recyclers in my area. The cheapest I could find for one front seat was 150 and it's cloth. I think you should lose the chrome.

Re: '81 2wd Blazer

Thanks for the good words guys.

Ya, i take the mudflaps off in summer, but they go back on first snowfall. Don't need more rust lol.

And yes the seats are very comfortable, even more so now that i know i got a really good deal.

Better than sitting on an old 48 gallon beer cooler --- but not as potentially delicious and refreshing
