Heres one for ya. The distributor hot lead fell off half way through! First day we brought it home and got it off the trailer.

Just realized I hadn't posted in here, this is our 71 swb with a 327 and a Muncie. It loves 6500 rpm 3rd gear burnouts! Lol. It's soon to get a very radical 406 on e85 backed by a powerglide.

Re: (((( Post Your Burnout Videos ))))

Thanks. That was my first small block build and I'm pretty happy with it for the most part. I'm still undecided whether to build a 383 or Throw a LS in it for next summer. Just trying to find the most economical way to 500hp with a 200 shot of juice.

I'm always going to answer with a BBC! A basic rebuild with some 781 or 049 oval port heads, proper cam to match heads, RPM Edelbrock airgap intake, and headers will get you to the 500hp mark ($2000 bucks or less). Plus it will have tire frying torque just off of idle for days! Spring for $1000 more and you could build a 496! Always my vote if doing a 454 rebuild.

Very nice Sillyoldman

Yep, those big Buicks make some good torque. I learned about them years ago from an old boss. Did Buick make the 455 in '67?
