Changing from Auto floor to column shifter

I bought a 72 truck that has an auto B&M floor shift in it. I'd really like to get a automatic column and move to column shift. My question is, how hard would this be to do? Would it just require the auto shift column and a lokar transmission linkage rod kit to make this happen or is there more things needed?

Pretty sure you are correct. Column and Lokar linkage would do it. Or you could find someone selling the stock bellcrank and linkage and use that. Which is the way I went when converting from 3 speed to automatic.

Having basically completed this with my manual to auto trans swap, I would have to second what you are thinking is required. Not sure what you have for a neutral safety switch, but that might be needed as well.

Used stock neutral safety switch with auto column. This was when I switched from 3-speed to the 700r4.
