drop spindles

i have a 83 short bed and i have it lowered with a flip kit and springs and im wanting to take the springs out and put spindles. so i got a good deal on a set of belltech drop spindles 31200 is stamped on the back of them. the guy had them on a 76 half ton and when i looked them up it said they were for like a 70-72 or something. so will these work on my truck if so what all do i need to make them work? i dont want to start to put them on unless i have everything i need. diff rotots,callipers,a arms. ect
any help will be much appreciated. thanks bryce

Re: drop spindles

3120= 71-72 spindle
3100= 73-87 HD spindle for 1-1/4" rotors
3200= 73-87 LD spindle for 1" rotors.

What is the width of the rotors on your '83?

Re: drop spindles

I don't know what to tell you.
If they said 3120 they would be 71-72.
The 31200 makes me think they are a 3100 or 3200 spindle casting.
I've never seen 31200.

Either way the 1" rotor spindles are different from the 1-1/4" rotor spindles.
So are the bearings, rotors, and calipers.

Re: drop spindles

Even if they are 71-72,... they can be made to work.

Re: drop spindles

Hey Guys
There is a 31200 belltech spindle. I just went through all of this on some used spindles for Krusty. I have it written down at work, but call belltech teck department. 31200 can be any of the 3, best i remember. They can walk you through it.

If they are 71-72 spindles:
You will need:
1) 71-72 upper ball joints
2) 71-72 outer tie rod ends
3) 1-1/4" rotors
4) calipers
5) bearings

If they are 73-87 HD spindles:
You will need:
1) 1-1/4" rotors
2) calipers
3) bearings

If they are 73-87 LD spindles:
You will need:
Nothing,...unless your original parts are worn.,
