It's a good base to work from if you decide to go air-ride because you can get it slammed without major camber issues. I think that you and Joe could knock that out pretty quickly.

I attached some pictures on my build thread of the "Z" we just did. I'm not done yet, but you'll get the idea.
for me the pancake pretty easy and i dont have to mess with the floor. good info thanks kat!!

Re: The hindenburg

With my 2" Z, we merely dropped the engine down 2" by modifying the engine mount stands. The engine is in the exact same spot as it was from the factory, and I still have the original, unmodified floor and and driveshaft angles are still factory as well.

Believe me, I was a skeptic until Brad finally convinced me (after hearing about this idea for the last 20 years). I'll do it again, for sure. It costs essentially nothing, just the material for the boxing plates and the welding wire.

I posted pictures on my build thread to show what we did.

Re: The hindenburg

Can't wait! Was the shortbed a Craigslist find? I have been searching for a patina'd 60-66 short bed for months and haven't had any luck. They seem to just fall in yours and delmos lap.

I have been waiting sense you told me about it in person on Saturday at that show. Hope you get some time soon to start the build thread.
