Re: 2014 Southeastern Truck Nationals ALL Chevy/GMC Show

Plan on heading down also. Don't have the trucks ready to go yet, but the wife and I will stop by. Plan on stopping by the Corvette "sink hole" museum on the way down. After the show we're heading down to Cleveland, TN to visit granddaughter end family. Hopefully, next year I will have something ready to travel in. Is the park close to the Best Western?

30% chance of showers, but it looks like the heavy stuff is going to be south of us.

Re: 2014 Southeastern Truck Nationals ALL Chevy/GMC Show

Does any one have a physical address for the show that the wife could put in her GPS? She is driving up from Atlanta to me and my brother from visiting her family? If no direct address I could use one real close to the park.

Re: 2014 Southeastern Truck Nationals ALL Chevy/GMC Show

Great Show!! Best one yet. Had 86 registered participants. I had several people that told me that restricting it to just GM would kill the show. Couldnt have been more wrong. It was a cloudy day and it was raining everywhere EXCEPT White House. I know alot of people stayed home. If it was sunny and dry we would have easily cracked 100 and maybe 125. we ran out of room in the parking lot and spectators were parking on the grass everywhere. The spectators surprised me the most. The aisles were just packed with people.

Thanks to all the board members that came and supported the show.

Re: 2014 Southeastern Truck Nationals ALL Chevy/GMC Show

Great show but was so busy in the swap meet that I did not get to check out all the great looking truck. It is a great problem to have when you travel that far to be a vendor. Talked to an extreme amount of great truck people. Some board members some not, some that I see there 2 years ago and some I seen at the swap meet in Nashville in Febuary. Waiting on next year. Thanks.

Re: 2014 Southeastern Truck Nationals ALL Chevy/GMC Show

Ok this is an odd question but does anybody know the older guy that was walking around with the hat on that had "71 Chevy" on it? I would guess that he was in his 70's or 80's. I do not know if he had a truck there or just looking around. I was a vendor at the show and I sold him a pair of Big Block valve covers and I think something else. He was a nice guy that I talked to a few time. He also bought a pair of Big Block exhaust manifolds from another vendor. He talked about the truck show that they used to have over at Pigeon Forge, TN so I am not sure if he is from over there or just went to the show. It seems like he also talked about AL so he could have been from there. I would like to get a hold of him if anybody has his contact information please let me know. You can send it in a PM. Thanks

I do not remember if he had glasses or not but he was wearing a plain looking summer style ball cap with a white front and "71 Chevy truck" on it. Maybe even like iron on letters. Thanks

Re: 2014 Southeastern Truck Nationals ALL Chevy/GMC Show

Thanks, Bryan, for a great show. It was worth the trip, and especially cool to see some truck buddies I hadn't seen in a while. The cool thing about this show is that it's all GM, and all trucks. It's like taking the stuff that's most interesting to us at any show, and putting it all together in one place! Very cool.

I have not found him but I have found the exhaust manifolds that he bought laying in the back of a nice green 1970 C10 Short bed original. The 2nd truck on the page link that roveh posted. TheLoneRife also told me that he thinks his last name is Mr. Pepper. Thanks
