Re: Cam shaft question
That'll do it. Ground for sound...

Re: Cam shaft question
.
Keep the fine print in mind..."Needs 9:1 Compression, 2500+ Stall, Intake, Gears & Headers" ... and don't expect your 350 perform well without all that. It'll probably sound good though! -klb

Re: Cam shaft question
I have a friend that uses one of those cams and has to run 24 degrees of initial advance to get it to even run right. Why he hasn't yarded that thing out of his 350 is beyond me.

Re: Cam shaft question
The Muthathumpr is the most extreme one , but they make a less radical one called the Thumpr. Other than that, I don't know anything more about it though.

Re: Cam shaft question
If you want a lopey sound, I would go with a cam with 230*+ @.050 and a 108 LSA.

Re: Cam shaft question
Flowmasters. They can make anything sound good, plus headers.
Also advancing the timing induces more "thump". Although they won't work as well as a cam. They can get you by or amplify a cam change. |

Re: Cam shaft question
Check out a Crane 274h06 grind. Elgin, Summit, and others also offer a version of it. 218@.050 duration but ground on a 106 lobe separation. Works well with lower compression ( 8.75-9.5 ), but still has a rough idle. Works well in a stock to mildly modified small block.

Re: Cam shaft question
Wow 106 LSA, will that even idle less than a grand?
