Dipstick !

I changed my exhaust manifolds to the original style on my 68'. Now the oil dipstick tube doesn't curve correctly to be re-attached at the top of the engine. Has any body used the non-chrome one from LMC ? Can I just bend the one I have to the shape I need ?

Thanks !

Re: Dipstick !

some aftermarket ones do not fit very well if it is not too far off you can bend it slightly. Be careful not to go too far and if possible take it out to bend it. You do not want to snap it off in the block.

Re: Dipstick !

Not sure of the brand of mine, but it looks like aftermarket and is very loose in the block. It always pulls out when I check the oil level. Would not recommend. Also interested in hearing better options.
