The topper is a good deal, too. For one, that means the pickup probably has been treated better and not used for rough hauling. Second, it would be hard to find a topper for that vintage.


The trouble is that I was looking for a long bed / regular cab and they are getting hard to find and usually in a lot rougher condition. Since I wanted something that I could take on a long highway trip without too much worry, I ended up getting something a lot newer than what I really wanted.

Still have my 89 "wood truck" though.

The GMC fell through but I have found a 1998 Silverado 4x4 with 70,000 original miles
