Re: The guy is saying this is a COPO.

There is no problems, I never said it was a COPO, so going to my other thread, taking the pictures and putting them here with the above title kinda makes me a tad upset. You do not have the right to take my pics and post them up for your own jollies

Re: The guy is saying this is a COPO.

I HAVE NEVER PUT MY TRUCK, OR THAT PIC ON CRAIGSLIST. Period. So your buddy is either scamming, or doing something he should not, I don't like being on the receiving end of it. MY TRUCK IS NOT FOR SALE, AND NEVER WILL.

Re: The guy is saying this is a COPO.

Copied this from another forum..

Near the front of my GM parts catalogue it says Central Office Production Order. There is even a separate COPO catalogue, mostly truck stuff, but there is no mention of the COPO cars at all. Strange. COPO was used mostly for truck and fleet stuff such as odd ball taxi or police combinations. GM already had the L72 427 so it was no big deal for them to put it in a Chevelle or Camaro. Same went for the LT1 for the 1970 Novas. Most all of the car stuff was off the shelf.
Danny's el Camino has a real COPO look to it.

I don't think COPO was really intended for the cars, but guys like Yenko were able to take advantage of it.

Re: The guy is saying this is a COPO.

As I understand it any COPO vehicles has a higher resall value than your normal run of the mill production car/truck.

i.e. very rare to come across one these days!

Re: The guy is saying this is a COPO.

The person who posted can delete the thread or post a moderator of this specific subforum and they should get it done.

For your info, Green Monster who owns a beautiful K5 has his pics used repeatedly on e-bay and craigslist by scamers - it is very unfortunate.
