How does the locking mechanism work on the hood support hinges on firewall. I bolted these up a few weeks back .... and was playing with them last night and noticed they are fully locked ... when I push down on them .... they dont move. To the point firewall flexes.

I thought they were just spring tension. Seems not ?

nevermind -- jumped the gun.
It sort of folds backwards forwards and then forwards .....

I was just pushing down on it forward.

All good.
