Smile Question: How many sets of wheels do you go through before you ....

As I have looked back I looked at the sets of wheels that I purchased for the Circuit Rider before I could settled for a set that just spoke to me...
Did you all have this problem or challenge?
Maybe its me and I just can't make up my mind

I started out with:

1) 15x8 GM Truck Rally's (used)

2) TT D's 16x8 (used)

3) Torq Thrust Originals 15x8 (new)

4) And now to the 5 Slot Corvette Rally's. (New)

Re: Question: How many sets of wheels do you go through before you ....

I've had the same old set of ET slots on 3 different trucks.

Guess I'm kinda set in my ways.

So far on both of my trucks I started with stock steelies and ended up with rallies.

Its just you.

I never have a problem choosing wheels.

I hate the thought of you taking the Torque Thrust off.

They look killer.

Re: Question: How many sets of wheels do you go through before you ....

im on my second set but not exactly by choice. they are just 5blade cragars with knock off center caps. im still trying to get rid of my first set that came on the truck sold so that i can find some rallys or another style. im not sure what i want.

Re: Question: How many sets of wheels do you go through before you ....

I don't have any problems with deciding on wheels. I know what I like and I stick with them, just like these trucks. What was good 40 years ago is still good now and still will be in 40 more years.
That said,I usually have more than one set for a vehicle. For my '72 K3500 project I have 8.25 x 16.5s with 12.50/37 Super Swampers, but also have 9.75 x 16.5 aluminum slots I want to put milder tread rubber on in a 35. For 4wds I like to have at least two sets because I've come to find there is no one ideal tread design. I like to have a set for mud and a set for hiway/sand. It's mostly about the tire's tread design, but it gives me a change for variety in wheel style.
For my '67 shortbed I have 8 x 15 steelies to run hubcaps on. I have a choice of '67 truck caps and '65 Pontiac,so far. That's the beauty of these wheels, you can change the look a bit with the pop of a hubcap. I plan to get a pair of 10 x 15s to put drag radials on,for even a little more change but mostly for fun. I also want a set of classic mag wheels, either Torque Thrusts or aluminum slots.
I think your truck looked perfect with the Torque Thrusts.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Anyone who doesn't like 15" torq thrusts, HAS to have something wrong with them! I would recommend that you seek some professional help. LOL!
