700r4 Pump o rings and washers?
I am replacing the front pump seal on a 700r4. The gasket set came with washers and o rings for the pump bolts but no instructions on which order the go. I assume I slide the washer on first followed by the boring? The original bolts had rubber coated washers it appears.

Re: 700r4 Pump o rings and washers?
Are the washers copper or aluminum? If so, they go on without any o'rings. I think the o'rings were on later pumps.

Re: 700r4 Pump o rings and washers?
With a 700R4 there is only one pump hole that is drilled all the way through that has the potential for leaking. However, all the bolts got o-ring seals. Earlier transmissions like the TH30 has gaskets and not o-rings. The bolts were flat. 700R4 there is a groove in the bolt for the o-ring. Common for an aftermarket set to have both. I've seen many transmissions with both installed. Gasket against the pump and o-ring on the bolt. From the factory, the 700R4 only had the o-ring
