Pleated firewal; is it too busy?
Considering a couple firewall options and am on the fence with a few. I have not seen any of a few styles in person so I dont know how the finished result will be.
This one is sorta fun but I worry its too busy and doesnt 'fit' with the truck.  This one will be the next choice:  What firewall would be your choice? I was going to fab my own but I cant even get a good piece of sheet stock because of the virus thing. Tks! ~JH |

Even since I was a teenager (long, long time ago) less has always been more to me. The second option would never be out of style in my worthless opinion.

I would second that it would be best to patch up your current firewall. I watched a recent video that used a firewall cover, it just added quite a bit of bulk and didn't really contour as well as you would expect, which means that it isn't plug and play and requires careful fettling.
But I would also vote for #2! Good luck. |

Phenomenal amount of talent went into that pleated firewall... absolutely amazing work. I too would select a more simple design personally, but I have to respect an artist.

#2 and maybe machine turn the recessed area and clear coat? Machine turning always looks good imo and if it looks too busy you could paint over it
