Need some help fellas
So I have a little dilemma hoping to get some help here. I have some wheels that are 15x8.5 and having a hard time deciding what size tires to put on them while deciding what looks best. I have a 65 long bed on air hoping someone has pictures and sizes to get me in the right direction! thanks!

An 8" wide wheel is about the max width for a 235/75R15 tire. I believe the tire manufacturers recommend a max width of a 7" wide wheel. On my '66 Suburban I am running 275/60R15's on 15 x 8 Rally wheels. Since your truck is lowered, you will likely have to go a little narrower like a 245 or 255. Of course this is also assuming your differential is the original width.

I have 15X8 on my 66 and 235 70 fronts and the wheel is wider than I like. Trouble is any wider and the tire hits the fender. On the rear with 4" of back spacing and 275 60's the tires rub the inside of the wheel tubs when going in steep driveways. On my 65 that was on air 15X7 and 225's was all I could get to work on my setup and have room to turn when running low. Also you dont list the back spacing. A 15X8 with 4" of back spacing will hit the lower control arms with drop spindles and require a good bit of grinding on the lower control arms so you will have to test your wheels. If it were my truck I would be looking for another set of wheels. Not sure what else we can tell you.

255/60 up front and 275/60 on the rear. 8" rims.
