puzzled
I have a 1967 Chevy c10 swb it will start strong but kills after a few seconds.It's getting gas to the carb. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the board from South Mississippi! Is it getting fuel when it dies, or just when you're starting it. It could be the sock filter in the tank, plugs shortly after starting, then when the engine dies the crud falls off until you start it again. And have you tried moving the timing on it?

Have you checked your fuel filter? There's probably one in the carb, but there may also be on in-line somewhere. Just something else to look for.
