Making my k10 back into the c10 she was 30 years ago
I am picking up a 71 72 chassis
I looking around what i have parts 69 c20 has a ps box rock auto shows 69 and 72 take same pitman arm i know 73 up different arm

Do the 67 72 ps box and the 73 87 ps box have the same size shaft and indexing ?

I will be looking at drop spindles when i do i will use the more popular 73 87 setup

I am very interested in the answer to this question as well. I have a power steering box/pump/brackets from a 73 model and have been wondering what all I would need to make it work on my 67 that came with manual steering.

I know I will need a lower pulley for the engine and new lines but connection to the steering linkage and steering column are in question. I think I have the intermediate shaft as well. The bed of my truck was full of parts when I bought it. TH400 tranny and shift linkage, good bed fenders, and all the steering stuff out of a 73, including spindles.

You will have to modify the 67 frame where the steering box attaches. There are a lot of threads on this forum on that subject.

Yeah, I've read a ton about that part of it but I am more concerned about the other parts that could be a gotcha if I don't know about it on the front end.

Power steering brackets = short water pump vs long water pump. You have to have the correct setup for the water pump you run.

I did the steering box on my son's 70 years ago and it seems that we had a pitman arm issue but that was in 1987 or 88 so my memory is a bit shot on that.

I looked up steering box on rock auto same part on 72 and 74

Pitman arm will need to match tie rods and spindles ex 67-70 71-72 73-87

Found out 78 and newer are oring style box which i may be looking for since i am looking at adding hydro brake booster as well

As for power steering pump i am changing to thd 88 98 style for the serpentine belt setup change the pressure fitting to match up to your ps box at the back of the pump no adapter needed

From all the post i seen i will stay away from cpp ps pump kits they never seem to line up

73 up ps boxs many are quicker ratio units too nicer to park at the mall

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
