I'll ask on monday what they do at Mast when they go carbed. I think they have valley covers without holes. But don't quote me on it. It's been over a year since I was around when they built a carbed Ls.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

Well found out the factory map sensor is the one i need. So i hope i have one that is still good on my motor. Also my maniflod came with bolts and throttle bracket. So i will have to go test fit and send arp bolts back. As it turns out they are for the factory plastic manifold. They are like 2 inches too long.

Mine came with gaskets and bolt too I think. The Edelbrock doesn't?

No on the gaskets but it does come with bolts and brackets for tv cable and throttle.

I may have missed it, but what engine mount set-up did you go with? Also, that is it you do not like about the factory valley cover? Just wanting a plain sheet metal one?

I went with the trans depot ones that keep it in the factory spot. Ya just plain flat cover with no massive holes for sensors in it. You got one or know of them. Only one i found is edelbrock and it is 120 bucks. I would want a little bling bling for 120 bucks.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

you know some are putting the pcv and breather in the valley cover....and leaving clean valve covers w/o holes.

As it turns out i dont think they will leak. The part they screw into has rubber that seals around it. Still want new one but i will be ok if i dont find one.

So far i think i will try these headers. They are 170 a set and have seen them put on a square. Even if they dont fit it is not that much lost and will be resold.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

Dont remenber if i asked befor but if my heads need to be milled for flatness. What am i to do about push rods. The rockers are not adjustable. So if they take some off the heads are the push rods going to be too long? Or am i just over thinking this. Not really sure how much they will take off never had a set milled befor. Thanks.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

you'll just need an adj. pushrod for measuring the length...then order a new set.
