Kick panel removal/speaker installation?

Is there any trick to taking the OEM Kick Panels out of my 72 GMC Shortbed Fleetside, and install a set of Kick Panel Speakers?
Any info/help/links would be appreciated!

Re: Kick panel removal/speaker installation?

Those speaker panels are installed over the existing kick panel and require some modification to the speaker panel to fit.

Can anyone else elaborate on this?
My Son is coming out in 2 weeks to install an entire system, and he's only got 1 full day to work on it.
He knows what he's doing, on newer Vehicle Installations, but I'm trying to circumvent any problems "ahead of time" that may cause a Delay.

Basically they are telling you that if you cut the kickpanel you will be in the drain area for the cowl. The kickpanel speaker panels are available from vendors and install over the existing kickpanels.

So pretty much, line up the Kick Panel Speakers with the OEM Kickpane, and use some self-tapping screws to install....correct?

Actually I had them installed in my 67 C-10, but I didn't watch them.
I just pulled the Truck in and came back 2 hours later and Voila!
