clown truck?

hey guys, i have a 1994 chevy extended can short bed 4x4. i was recently talked into buying a 3 inch body lift lol. my problem is it has brand new 265/75/16's on stock wheels and im afraid that ill get the clown truck look goin on with the stock backspacing and smaller tires. so what do you guys think? will i be able to get away with the lift till the 265's wear out or should put the lift ont he shelf till i move up in tires?

Re: clown truck?

you could always ship them to me. I will assure you they will have a good home!
Try it and see, I had , back in the day 44's on a truck, then the lift laws changed and i had to put 33's on it. Yes, it looked stupid but I need had the tires hitting the fenders. lol

Re: clown truck?

i guess ill give it a go, i was thinkin of just doin the bed first and takin a look at it befor doin the cab and front end . just cuz the bed is easy and would give me a ballpark idea of how it would look.

Re: clown truck?

I don't like body lifts, especially on the 88-98s whose frames hang down already.I have 285/75s on my '92 with no lift and like how that looks and performs.

Re: clown truck?

In my opinion, you don't have enough tire for a 3" lift. Body lifts suck anyway.
