more...look at the space between the tire and the step fender....and this is just sitting there....doesnt even have the mounts on it yet...

the bed looks lined up with the cab....looks like someone jacked it up, dont remember ever seeing a stock one that high.

In addition to what he said, you have a pretty short tire on there...what is that, a 235/60? Put a 275/60 in there adn it'll look better, drop it an inch or two all around, and it'll look killer.

my 67 sat like that when i got it . it had heavy duty springs on it and i took those off and put reg springs on it and now i got 6( i think ) inch drop springs and its much better

what mounts?
i'm no step side guru but, it don't look right to me.
could your shocks be stuck?
put some wieght in it & see if it settles.
try about 500#'s then bounce on it.
the front looks about right.
are the rear springs factory original?

They do sit a little high originally, it's just way more noticable on yours because of those tiny little tires.

even with the small tire...look at the lower body line across the rim. this blue truck is not mine put it may only have a 2" or 3" drop

That second truck is lowered, mine looks exactly like it (lowered 3 inches in the front and 4 in the back.

Mine is not lowered and it has 235/75/15 tires on it. There is definitely not that much gap btwnt the tire and fender. I'm sure though after 35 years it has settled some. I have no idea if the coils have ever been replaced, but I would guess not.

i have a set of 295 50 15s i set under it and it's like maybe a half inch taller than those...still looked like crap.....how much would drop springs run me?
