Now, admittedly, I haven't been posting a lot of information about the truck on the forum lately. It's not to say that I haven't been working on it, just that I haven't had time to due to the overall number of things going on.
To bring you up to speed... I decided to go with the square-body suburban 31 gallon gas tank. That required a little bit of fabrication on the back end of the truck. To start, the rear cross-sill (the one with the light plug) came out, and was rotated 180-degrees, and became the front brace for the fuel tank. This effort was followed for quite some time with lots of measurements. I needed to have the fuel neck clear the frame, but at the same time not be so tall as it would bump into the bottom of the bed. Likewise, I needed to play with it front-to-back as so to sit between the bed rails. Once that was done, I finished the calculations and made the brackets. Then it was a matter of getting it into its final resting place. ***Note: The rear brake line is a temporary solution, and will be getting adjusted either today or next weekend. I'll re-work the bracket and provide more substantive support across the frame before joining to the soft-line on the axle.

After that, we ran the fuel lines, topped off the fluid levels, and:
Then it was around the block: And around the block again... Followed by a quick trip to the gas station (since we'd only put a couple of gallons in the truck to fire it up.)

One day... i havent really updated much lately either, but all ive done is continue to make more work for myself. good news is, the body guys says should be no problem to have a painted truck by spring.... all i need to do is have all the other stuff done or ready for the body to be back on it by then. hahaha

Nice work Scott and congrats on your first start up and drive time! It looks likw some one has a pretty sweet Mega Cab CR sitting there too! How much of the dodge harness did you end up keeping to get the 47RE to shift correctly? I might be doing some swaps using these transmissions soon.

I've still got to sort out some of the little issues... my power steering fluid hasn't gotten all the air out yet, and keeps foaming over the fill cap. The transmission fill line is loose and fluid is squirting out of there. And I need to get the fill line done for the fuel tank.

I don't know why I keep thinking you are using a 47RE. Here's the way to go:
http://www.transmissioncenter.net/SwapInformation.htm A PCS is overkill for a 47RH. If you use a controller, you're defeating the purpose of using a RH. That or use 2 toggle switches.

I had a random sighting here in durango a year or so ago. talk about a surprise. i was sitting in my favorite coffee hut on main shooting the poo with some friends. they all thought i was loosing what was left of my mind when i bolted out the door to watch it go by, mouth agape. haha

Well, I did manage to get a little bit of time on the truck this last weekend. Still working on finalizing the fuel tank. In the pictures, the bed is off the truck, but I hope to get it all back together this coming weekend.
When it came to mounting, I had to space this between two of the bed rails, the one right behind the rear wheel wells and the one further back. There's not a lot of room to work with, but I think I've got everything to clear now.
