Taking a break

-
I go in for surgery on my Left wrist (Carpel Tunnel) and (Guyon's Canal) and Left elbow (Cubital Tunnel) tomorrow morning so I may be missing in action for a couple of days. I will have my arm in a sling for two weeks and total recovery 4-6 weeks. Wouldn't you know the parts just arrived for my Dana 60 rebuild so I will have to put that off. At least I got the new axles and brakes finished up on the '70 short bed 12 bolt rear end today. I'm glad that's done.

Talking Re: Taking a break

Nothing to it. I've had both hands done. Just start working them the same day they do the surgery. Get them moving as quickly as you can.

It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Taking a break

Looks like your left arm is toast for quite awhile. I had carpal tunnel surgery on my hands ~5 years ago, and it was 2-1/2 to 3 years before I got back "full" functionality. I still have strength issues, but they are still getting better, too. Good luck with all of that chopping!

Have your wife take your place here on the board while you're down. I remember her being very entertaining and super nice when you guys visited us out here in the Great Northwest.

I hope your recovery leaves you pain free. My other hope is this website doesn't turn into the wild west without your level headed moderation. One other thing. Is it ok if we talk about you in your absence? Wait, strike that. You'll still be able to read... Shoot!

Speedy recovery Leon. The worst part of getting cut is the pain therapy pr is it physical therapy I get them confused. They were working me with the stitches in . Got to say it works hand is so much better now. And eventhough it's not fun do your exercises at home I struggled with that.

And you only need on finger to hunt and peck on the keyboard.

Re: Taking a break

Good Luck with your surgery.

My wife had both hands done at the same time. Dr. said it was only the 2nd time he had done it. She is a pretty tuff lady. When she was in recovery she was already moving her fingers. It was a success for her.
