dropped a sawzall battery down this duct work, but we could'nt reach until we dropped one of the skinny kids down it

we actually took a vote on wether or not to tie a 2x4 to his boots and leave him to hang around...

the kicker-after the contractor came up and had a good laugh, he took me inside and showed me an access door to change filters....the battery landed about 6" from the access door...

My time in the engine room(s) of Navy ships has left me with some hearing loss and tinnitus. I never asked for compensation for that, btw. I was later trained for fall protection, asbestos, confined spaces, eye protection for splash, and wore a moon suit with SCBA.

Hoarfrost has settled in the valley. It’s really amazing to see all the trees coated.

when water vapour in the air hits an object that is already below freezing. as more water hits the object and freezes, the frost can "grow", sometimes up to an inch long.
we get it quite often
