I'm stumped on some things
Put a new fuel pump in and its still not pumping fuel..
I wish more people would respond

Ok did u check your tank maybe blow a little air in the line that's before the pump still a issue try running a line from pump to a gas can to isolate the problem

Make sure fuel is getting to the pump like lowrodderchev said. The tank outlet could be plugged and so could the line. If you have fuel to the pump check your lines to the carbs and your fuel filter to make sure none of those are clogged or restricted. Its a basic system so tracing your way through it you should be able to find the problem. A blow gun will be useful here.

Go back and review and test the system from your plastic tank to the carb, opening each fitting in sequence: line from tank to pump, pump outlet, fuel line to carb. Also make sure that the carb bowl is primed, if is has been sitting for a while without running the gas has evaporated out the vent, saves time and battery and starter life not having to grind away while the pump fills the float bowl.

I put a new fuel hose that goes into the tank..checked the fitting i blew through it and put a piece of paper towel at the end before the pump it blew out..so it couldn't be clogged up.When the money comes in, I am going to have new fuel lines put on before I put the new tank in

Are you gravity feeding the fuel from a bottom tank fitting or are you trying to pull the gas up through the tank filler opening. A stock mech fuel pump has a hard time siphoning. I used a temp outboard motor fuel tank with a fuel squeeze ball to prime the mech pump.

The hose goes into the opening. it worked fine until, I put the rebuilt carb on there. It cranked up fine, and then eventually no gas what so ever. I am going to put new, fuel lines in when I put a new tank in

it sounds like your rebuilt carb might be the problem. Maybe a dirty seat or needle, fuel filter in backwards or your float isn't operating properly. I've rebuild many carbs and you will run into problems like this from time to time. I'd be starting with that carb if I was you

It is not the carb, I put a mason jar after the pump to see if it'd pump gas and it didn't do one drop. I may just end up buying new fuel lines for the future, so I won't have to worry about debris or rust getting into the pump

I may just try putting more gas into the tank, I know I will need a new fuel line from the pup to carb as the current one isn't lining up, and rig it behind the thermostat so it is easier access

Finally fixed the problem
Put a new Fuel pump in, all it needed was priming
Put a new fuel line on

I will put a new Vacuum line on here soon

I need to do the tail light wiring on it to finish that to make it look decent under there

Just for fun, you may want to start writing your story in advance (don't be too wordy), then fine tune your story to the point, possibly with a past pic or two, that way when you're approached, you'll have the story ready. If they don't, you'll have a story to pass down to your grandchildren Keep the story short and sweet; humans today have short attention spans and don't like to read paragraph after paragraph.
Perhaps put your story on here~ we'll proof it for you, but remember short and to the point!

How much fuel do you have in the tank. If you are going to siphon from the fuel opening you should have the bottom of the pickup tube at least 4 to 6 inches below the surface of the fuel. These 235's use more fuel than you think . If you suck just a bit of air from the line coming out of the gas surface you will lose siphon. You could then again put the fuel tank in the truck and get that working before anyone comes and takes pictures. Makes it look like you know what you are doing. If it's a newspaper article they can imply that it is running unless they want to put a video in the article. Not too many videos in the printed papers.

Adjusted the timing and it cranked up again, still have issues with pushing the choke in

Hey Howard, so it runs now except for the choke? or does it die out when you push the choke in? or is it just an bad choke cable? Have you driven it since you've gotten it running?

How do I know if its a bad choke cable?
I've driven it occasionally, it dies when I push the choke in, watch the video and you'll see what happens to it
