When you first showed up to our country You were the typical German Had your trip planned so tight, I think you even had all your meals picked out on the Amtrak train. Now you are getting all willie Nillie Partying in every city you hit up Taking new friend requests In any state you might be in Way to live it up, glad you are having so much fun It’s OK to deviate from the plan Rental cars are cheap in America Just in case you miss the next Bus |

Back in Texas Ft.Worth. Again so wonderful. Have a look on the car. Pretty good work I would say more or less perfect. Later on we work on them.
Souvenir handed over to Cornerstone - BRIAN. After coffee start to the car show. And as you can see is not so mutch space here around the house.

The Show was fantastic. Great cars. We met Don, also a car enthusiast and he can speak german too.
Brian wears a gun - look at the pictures. And for sure no space in his garden. That's Texas.

Some highlights from the day! The blue and white shorty is almost exactly what I am building. It was the first truck we saw at the show and just made my day to get to talk to the friendly owner. Gerhard was glad also because he got to speak with the builder of the truck, 68 short step a fellow board member who happens to speak fluent German! Just a perfect day!

A short explanation of my “gun”.... in one of the pictures Gerhard posted, you can see me scouring over one of the tool vendors tables at the show. One of my purchases was a 36” blow gun so I don’t have to bend down when I clean out the floor in my garage. It’s way better and faster than sweeping also. Carrying that long thing around in close proximity to incredible paint jobs was proving to be quite risky so the solution was to hang it on my belt loop.
One other thing I’d like to say... whoever was, or will be lucky enough to have Gerhard come and stay with you will definitely not have any regrets. He is one of the most interesting people I’ve ever had the privilege of getting to know. Incredibly intelligent conversation combined with honest humility, not to mention his fantastic sense of humor, makes for an easy friendship.

Hey there 68 short step! As you are aware, I was completely infatuated with this truck, it is so similar to my build! If my memory is correct, you built the 6.2 with the 10 speed that is in the truck now. Do you have a build thread on that installation? I will soon start my reassembly and would love to read about your work.
