1978 GMC Short Bed 4x4

Hey Guys,
I recently picked up this 1978 GMC short bed 4x4 here in Kentucky. Very minimal rust for the area. Was told by the previous owner that it was completely restored in 1999 but the guy passed away after he finished it and it sat in a barn until 2009. The frame is rust free and the entire undercarriage has been under coated and looks almost new. It's running a 1972 350 4 bolt main punched to a 355 backed by a turbo 350 and NP203. It's currently rolling on 35x12.50x15's that aren't in very good shape at all. Interior is rough due to rats in the barn stealing seat cushion foam. Paint is definitely not up to standard as it looks like it came out of a Wal-Mart spray can. This is not my first square body build but is by far a better starting point than the last two I've had and it is the first 4x4 square body build.

Yes sir that'd be Carter County. And you are right it is definitely too cold to work on it especially since it won't fit in my garage with the 35's.

It'll be a slow process but I'll get it taken care of. Since I can't do a lot with it until Spring I'm looking at gathering parts and stock piling/hoarding them in the garage. Definitely a benefit to having an attached and detached garages.
