Wich after market AC system to should I use

Im Building a 71 4x4 short wide bed truck. It AC cab. I want to put in an after market system using the original air vents as well as the firewall AC/Heater mounting holes. Does anyone out there carry that type of system?

Vintage Air!, check out my album pictures as my truck was a factory air and I converted to Vintage Air and have been well satisfied.

Re: Wich after market AC system to should I use

Ill check both those out. I put the factory air back in my 70. It works ok and cost me as much as an aftermarket to do it. So I thought I would go aftermarket on this one.

Is Vintage Air electric rather than belt driven?

If your cab isn't a factory AC cab, how much harder is it to do?

Re: Wich after market AC system to should I use

Vintage air works great and I run around in the AZ heat all summer and it always keeps up. I run the Gen IV system. I installed the front runner system and 3 knob upgrade in the stock heater control spot.

Vintage and Classic auto air both have systems for non air trucks, if im not mistaken. Holes in the dash might be your biggest issue

Thumbs up Re: Wich after market AC system to should I use

My 71 has the Classic auto air system in it. It works great. Plus it's on the new catalog also!

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Do they all get rid of the huge box on the firewall? Only factory part i can is quite ugly, and I love stock stuff.
