63 Impala

Well heres my 63 Impala under the knife been working on it for a bazillion years Been in the family since 68 was my first car and have held on to it since 78. We have been to SO. Cali. twice and the DFW area twice ,never let me down so I figured she needs a year at the spa (ok years). She still sports the 327 and PG I just got done with the motor, trans is still up in the air to switch or not ,well ok money is the issue.I started this rebuild about 20 yrs ago and then life happened kids ,job etc and oh YEah rebuilt my 69 C-10 .Been going pretty good for the last year on it I think shes ready for some primer and paint this summer.I have done a total frame off and cleaned ,painted replaced ,rebuilt all under carriage, some floor pans .I get overwhelmed then walk away for awhile truck are 100 times easier to rebuild.Hope you like the pics been meaning to do it for awhile

Re: 63 Impala

Very nice.
My Dad bought a 64 Impala SS in 65 and I think that's the car that set the hook on me. Love em.
I've done one car after another and just recently got back into the trucks and couldn't agree more that the trucks are a ton easier. I actually enjoy working on my truck and the Chevelle I just finished 2 years ago was a challenge and tough every step of the way.
I'm thinking it will be truck builds from here on out.

Thumbs up Re: 63 Impala

Very nice man, just got a 64 myself. I'm in the middle of a power steering, radiator and wheel swap and can't wait to get the thing back on the road.
Everything on this car has been a pain! The 71 C 10 was a easy rebuild.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
