All three were very lovely, very talented people. Don't forget Ginger Rogers or Barbara Stanwyck.

Have you seen Raquel Welch lately? Whoa! She still looks good. And it doesn't look like a bunch of plastic surgery either.

If you've never seen The Lady Eve or Double Indemnity those are two great Stanwyck films. She plays a bad girl in both, but the first is a hilarious comedy where she cons a guy and then falls in love with him; the second one is much darker - she convinces an insurance agent to help her kill her husband. Both show how seductive she really was.

Hey, it ain’t trucks but it ain’t politics or religion either. All ladies mentioned were top of the mark in their eras. I’m a huge golden age of hollywood fan so movies and sters from the 40’s and 50’s are my favorites. Can’t forget Natalie Wood and Hedy Lamarr.

Re: What happened to this place?

I was busy at work yesterday and didn't have a chance to log on. I know times are rough. The common denominator here is chevy trucks. That should be priority.

My two cents
They aren't getting pinched. You can go through General Discussion and see post about retaliation for this virus, people showing support for politicians, and people posting about religion. Those things divide people.

They aren't. Click on threads in this section. Some have it right in the title.

I hear you. I own an essential business, and I am going crazy disinfecting everything. I'm trying to figure out when if I'll just close up for a couple of weeks and let things settle down. I'm thankful for the work, but is going crazy worth it?

Trucks and only trucks? This truck site has so many specific to trucks forums and sub-forums it isn't funny, all broken down and spread out. This site is about trucks for sure. Most forums are trucks and only trucks. It is so about trucks that it is also about the people who own them and that is what General Discussion is about.

I figure we all are going through some new elements in life. Different feelings rise up. Different thoughts. Just remember this and try to let things marinade a bit. It's not like we are in any hurry these days

And I am looking at General Discussion now as a vital social resource. Ya think??? Not being pissy with that, but really.... Where ya gonna go and whatcha gonna do? I'm figuring on seeing more generalized activity here AND I think this is a time when this community we have here can draw closer and prove the strength in community we actually have.

So, let it marinade a while and come back. Your friends here understand whatever it was that touched you off.
Just click on posts in the section. People showing support for politicians, people wanting to hold other countries accountable for this virus, and religious posts. This place is here for trucks. They bring people together. Politics and religion have a way of dividing us. I don't care if you are blue, red, Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, I don't care, but i will help you with your truck. But don't go pushing your "agenda"

I look at FB Marketplace everyday, but I avoid the general content of FB because I will usually be pissed off in a few minutes.

We are all bored as hell right now, and need a place to go to keep our wives from killing us (well, a lot of us).
I hear you.

You may find it nonsensical. Hopefully no one will get to the point of being disrespectful.

Let’s all extend some grace in these crazy times.
For the most part people are great. I think it's great I can go to church in my living room and not have my 3 kids disrupting the entire service. I do miss the fellowship, but we'll have it again soon.

I understand the general discussion, but when people post or reply about topics that are spelled out in the rules(the same rules that everyone reads and accepts when they become members).

I think you're missing the point. I don't want people to be just like me. I want people to tolerate each other. This place is great because of the wealth of knowledge we have and share about trucks. If you want to post about politics, religion, go somewhere else and do it. My concern is, it's in the rules, and its not being enforced.

Oh the memories! I did a stint in a Catholic school, 7th & 8th grade. Run by the Sisters of no Mercy. Many a time I was told to "put that nose against the wallpaper". Fun times.
