Too long?? I just lowered mine 5" and mine are too short and tight. I used 3" drop springs and a 2" drop spindle so maybe the way I dropped it changed my length different from yours.

X2. I don't like how short mine are either and was actually wondering if there are any longer ones that bolt in. I don't see how his can be too long either

Been there and learned the trick. Buy 3/4-1 ton hoses for 71-72 trucks. They are about an inch longer than half ton hoses but otherwise identical in every way. Most 67-72 specialty vendors sell them. I buy mine from Kenny's Trucks. I use them on all my lowered 71-72 trucks.

I learned the hard way that the right and left fronts brake fittings to the hose are different size internal threads on my 72. Is this different size left and right the same on the 3/4 ton truck???? Thanks for your experience because I need longer hoses. Will this one inch be enough seems pretty tight now.??

Re: Brake Hose lenght...C10 4,5" drop

I've built the same truck a bunch of times basically. All my piles get drop spindles and springs for a total of 4.5 drop in the front. On the 71-72 trucks, that drop causes the brake hoses to be taught. About 15 years ago I mentioned this to Kenny at a swap meet and he showed me the 1 ton hoses. Exact same in all manners as the half ton hoses, except an inch longer. That extra inch gives enough slack to take the hoses out of a bind. Since then every 71-72 front end I've used under a truck, I buy the 1 ton hoses. Problem solved.

Thanks Brother! I like the way the stock hose has the notch at the caliper and the keyway at the frame so 3/4 ton it is!! I have CPP 2" drop spindles and 3" springs hope that 1/2" difference still gets me the needed length I need?/ Thanks

I found for my 1968 C10 the Corvette hose is an inch longer. Makes perfect for lowered 1968s.
