Hood Braces

The hood on my 47 3600 is in excellent shape, except for the rear support braces - serious rust-thru damage near where the hinges attach. Does anyone sell new ones? or anyone have a set they don't need? I've looked several places, but don't see any (might not be calling them the correct name).

Re: Hood Braces

I'd have to think that there a hood with some dents/damage with a good undamaged rust free brace within an hours drive of you.

There are a lot of guys in your area on FB https://www.facebook.com/groups/47.54ADTechSwap/

In the Missouri /Kansas area that sell parts that probably have one. Some of them are on the get rich quick off the truck rubes plan so you have to watch but you should be able to find one for under 25 bucks that has what you need. I've got one here but shipping would cost more than you can buy a hood for there. Plus that is probably a nice hood that all you have to do is sand down and get ready to paint.
