Clean start 72 4x4

This truck I pick-up was very clean. I was going to put a quick paint job on it and drive it, but it was not that simple for me. once I start somthing I can't do it half ass.

The pick-up is a 1972 Chevy 4X4, custom deluxe. Im bought it from the 2nd owner with 80,000 original miles. this is a very clean truck compared to many I have seen up here in the northwest.

as soon as i got the truck I replaced the points with an msd, all new hoses and belts. put some original with rallies wraped with 33" super swamper tsl's.

replaced the rockers with gm parts striped everything to bare metal, etched with DE17 and primed with Glassurit 285-55 primer. its just about ready to block out and paint. lots of work in short time but will be worth it.

Im going to paint it medium olive green and white. with RM base and Glassurit Clear. will update pics when finished.

the first pic it what it look like when I brought it home

the 2nd is the drivers door painted with the right color

the 3rd is the right side bed striped and right door in primer

the 4this the core support masked in the booth ready for black

the 5th is the left fender with the patch pannel in and ready for primer

Your painting is great, i like what you have done so far.

Do you get any tire rubbing with the 33's?
