anybody running magnaflows?

hey all,
im kinda new to posting here but not new to the forum. ive been hangin around for a few years but recently joined to become part of this amazing forum. well i
just got my 327 pretty much dialed in and now im trying to decide what mufflers to run. i've got flowtech ceramic headers, and 2.5" mandrell bent tube duals dumping out before the rear.currently i'm runnin dynamax mufs but i would like something with a deeper tone. im debating between the super 40's or 44's, or the magnaflows, or maybe the borla mufflers. i saw that post about the spintechs but my friend is running them on a tbi 3rd gen camaro and i want to let him be the spintech guy for a while. anyhow some opinions or first hand advice would be appreciated!!
thanks!

Re: anybody running magnaflows?

i got magnaflows on my 72 , its got a 400 bb with headers and 2.5 pipe with the 5x9 oval mufflers , sounds really good at idle , and is raspy at the higher rpm cus i am not running an h-pipe of any kind, but no other truck around sounds like mine , so i like it

Re: anybody running magnaflows?

my dynomax's are real tinny at about 3000 rpm's and up.... i was hoping the magnaflows weren't like that, but could it be the lack of a crossover ? i really like the borla xr-1's too, i gave up on the flowmasters.... dime a dozen. what about the magnaflow tube mufflers? kinda look like glass packs.

Re: anybody running magnaflows?

I have magnaflows with a balance tube, deep throaty tone at cruise and a good bark at WOT, The magnapacks just sound like glass packs. Not that thats a bad thing I dont mind a GOOD glasspack.

Re: anybody running magnaflows?

I don't remember . It took him 3 days to bend and fit it all and total was $360 . It was alot of work . It had tail pipes on it in that video , the were limiting suspention travel so they had to go . It now dumps in front of the rear axle . I also have dumps out the side .

It is all aluminized 2.5 " , welded , flanged and gasketed for easy removal and welds painted .

Re: anybody running magnaflows?

Dam, thats a good price. If you go with the magnapacks I would definetly get a H pipe . And yes the magnaflows have a deep throaty tone at idle.
