Used to be green!

This is my 69 c10. It was a daily driver and I was irritated by the old wiring and rust starting. It didn't start half the time due to old wires. I had a few different motors in it and nothing would make me happy. So I decided to rip it apart. Which is an understatement. This is the first weekend in the garage on the project. I travel for work on the weekends and work all weekdays so progress will be slow.

Re: Used to be green!

Hey Geoff! You are actually who told me about this site. It sparked some interest in me. I couldn't get what I wanted for the truck. So I decided to tear into it. I appreciate the offer to help. I may take you up on that sometime. I'm not real set on any plans yet. My idea so far is a very dependable original daily driver. I want it to be my primary source of transportation when i'm done. I am thinking pretty seriously about putting an ls motor with a 4l60e in it. 30 gallon fuel cell in back. I want it a two tone black and silver with a bright green stripe about 1/8 inch wide between the two. And black wheels with an aluminum lip. That's about it for now.

Also, not sure if you''ll be around because of your job, but there's a regional meet in Salisbury May 8th...here's that thread....http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s.......you're more than welcome to cruise with me there if you're around!!!

Re: Used to be green!

Sorry I didn't comment on the firewall. I don't have too much for plans for it yet. I'll build my own for sure but I don't know how I want it exactly yet. I just wanted that cowl gone. And I want a nice flat smooth firewall with only the holes that I want where I want them. I am up for ideas from any of you guys. That's why i'm here. I'm probably a little over my head already but i'll learn something along the way. Which is why i'm doing it. By the way 3onthetree. I'm from wisconsin too. Just living down here now for work.
