12 bolt 5 lug conversion - bolt pattern question

I’m pulling the trigger in the next couple of weeks on a bunch of suspension stuff. Planning to order a No Limit Wide Ride IFS, and need to determine the bolt pattern. My FIL has a spare set of steelies in 5x4.75 that I can throw on to roll it around while we work on it, so it would be nice to be able to borrow the free wheels for now, but most of the 5 lug axles I see for the truck 12 bolt are 5x5. It looks like the Yukon axles are the most widely available, and I haven’t seen them in 5x4.75 anywhere. The 5 lug conversion for the rear end is still a ways in the future, but I need to plan ahead to match the bolt pattern. Do Currie or Moser or ??? make a 5 lug axle in 5x4.75, or is 5x5 pretty much the safest bet? Any input from those of you who know more than I do would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Stock for truck is 5x5, stock for most cars are 4x4.75

If your buying Currie moser or whatever brand..they will put whatever bolt pattern you want on the axles..
But I wouldnt do it just because you can borrow roller wheels..determine what wheels you want in the end and match those...junk yards are full of all sorts of wheels for cheap if you just need a temp set...and I'd do 5x5...

That’s good to know. I’ve always seen 4.75 referred to as GM and 5x5 as Ford. Wasn’t aware the trucks use the larger bolt pattern. Mongo, those are some good points. I don’t have much interest in doing custom axles when there is an off the shelf option. I’ll find some cheap wheels to use as rollers, and will figure out the actual wheels later. Thanks guys!

gm CAR = real popular 5x4.75 and full size 5x5 and truck 5x5 . ford and dodge and OLD jeep was 5x5.5

most rims now the design is geared to 6 lug stuff for suv and trucks . and even back in the day i prefered the design look of 6 lug over 5 lug stuff on all the tire / rim combos i use to put together and install .

so take this as it is pick the rims and design you want and maybe it will be better to make it a 6 lug over a 5 lug . . .
